Songpan and Diexi on the Way In
The road is part of the trip: the Min river gorge, Qiang and Tibetan villages round Maoxian, Diexi Lake — a barrier lake left by the 1933 earthquake, ten kilometres long — and thirty minutes inside the walls of Songpan, the old garrison town of Songzhou.
